Hypesquad events6/1/2023 This hesitance is a result of a startup culture that has historically elevated and celebrated ONE type of founder. I remember one Lunar alum who joined our program insisting that she “wasn’t really a CPG founder”… despite the fact that she started a unique CPG company! In fact, less than 40% of our alumni called themselves an entrepreneur or founder prior to joining Lunar. Throughout the past five years, MANY founders have entered the Lunar Accelerator self-identifying as a “small business owner”. There is a correlation between how a founder self-identifies and the speed at which they are able to scale their company.
